A yellow, sorediate lichen, similar to the species C. flavocitrina. Recently, it has been included in the genus Flavoplaca. The only confirmed report from the Czech Republic comes from a concrete wall in České Budějovice (Vondrák et al. 2009). It is expected to be relatively frequent. However, its safe differentiation from the common C. flavocitrina requires DNA sequencing.
