Lecidella carpathica Körb.

Lecidella species characterised by white or light-grey areolate thallus strikingly contrasting with black fruiting bodies. The lichen grows on various types of basic silicates and calcareous rocks. Besides natural outcrops, it also occurs in anthropogenic habitats, for example, on walls and roofs. In Europe and the Czech Republic, it is one of the most common genus members, widespread at various elevations.
