Allarthothelium endochlorum Vondrák

An inconspicuous white crust with a trebouxioid alga. The black, arthonioid ascomata, rounded to irregular in shape, are often conspicuously covered by a whitish, partly translucent membrane formed by dead bark cells. A green hymenial pigment is characteristic. The ascospores are large, strongly muriform, with a distinct gelatinous sheath (I+ orange-red, KI+ blue).

So far, only two herbarium collections are known from Mt. Boubín in the Šumava Mountains, where it occurs on the bark of old trunks of Acer pseudoplatanus, in a rain-sheltered microsite without accompanying lichens, in a montane beech–spruce forest (~1100 m). Environmental DNA (eDNA) data indicate its presence at two additional old-growth forest localities in the Czech Republic (Radvanovický hřbet and Žofín).
