Bacidia laurocerasi (Delise ex Duby) Zahlbr.

A rare epiphytic Bacidia, forming darkly pigmented apothecia with very long acicular ascospores. It has a suboceanic distribution. Currently, the species is very rare in the Czech Republic, occurring only in humid valleys and old-growth forests. It usually grows on smooth, acidic, slightly nutritious bark of deciduous trees. It is an endangered, declining lichen in the Czech Republic, linked to natural forests.
