Lecanora cenisia Ach.

A lichen that can be found on siliceous rocks and stones, where it grows on exposed to slightly shaded (typically vertical) surfaces. It is abundant in mountainous areas and scattered in medium high locations. It is often sterile in exposed localities, which makes it difficult to identify. The species is distributed in Europe and North America and quite common in Central Europe.
