A group of very similar mountain lichens L. lactea, L. lapicida and L. sudetica. Tiny differences between the species are mainly in the chemistry and thallus character. The first two mentioned taxa were generally distinguished at the level of chemotype or variety in the past. Two other species that have not been reported from the Czech Republic yet, L. swartzioidea and L. ecrustacea, are usually also considered part of this aggregate (Wirth et al. 2013, Nimis et al. 2018).
