Micarea pseudomicrococca is a microlichen, very similar to the related M. micrococca from which it differs in the olive-green thallus and narrower ascospores. It grows on a bark and wood of various trees. The species has been described recently and is still poorly known. Specimens that correspond to this taxon morphologically and anatomically have been found also in the Czech Republic.
