Peltigera ponojensis Gyeln.

A lichen of a similar appearance and ecology as the common P. rufescens from which it differs in pale and raised veins on the thallus underside. It prefers grasslands, such as pastures or in road surroundings, on basic substrates. The species is widespread in temperate to boreal zone of the northern hemisphere, but is common only locally. In central Europe, it is rarer Peltigera species, as well as in the Czech Republic. There are only three verified records from the country – from the vicinity of Velké Meziříčí in the Vysočina uplands, Pacova hora hill in the Tábor region and from the Pálava Hills.
