A lichen belonging to the Verrucaria kalenskyi – V. xyloxena group (Pykälä et al. 2019), which has not yet been confirmed from the Czech Republic. Only published records exist of a sterile, apparently undescribed species from Týřov in the Křivoklát region (Vondrák et al. 2022) and from Obora Hvězda in Prague (Palice & Malíček 2025), which is closely related to V. tallbackaensis. This taxon forms a thin, dark grey-green to olive-brown, slightly subgelatinous thallus and conspicuous, ochre-coloured, sharply delimited soralia with fine soredia.
