Minute yellow Xanthoria, thallus usually densely covered with apothecia. In contrast to similar X. candelaria, no symbiotic propagules are formed. On sun-exposed, nutrient-enriched trees. Usually on bark of deciduous trees, it prefers thin twigs. Typical nitrophilous lichen, common in agricultural landscape. Also common in forests, where it grows high in tree canopies. Very common in the Czech Republic, except at the highest elevations.
