Xanthoria sorediata (Vain.) Poelt ex Vězda

Yellow foliose Xanthoria with characteristic isidiate/blastidiate (granulose) thallus surface. Strictly saxicolous, on basic rocks. Although generally common, it is very rare in the Czech Republic. Nowadays known from calcareous phyllites at Mt Petrovy kameny in the Hrubý Jeseník Mts and conglomerate rocks near Moravský Krumlov. In both localities already recorded by Suza in 1928 and 1929. Another historical record, from conglomerates in the valley of the Svratka river near Veverská Bitýška, wasn’t verified. Newly found in the Křivoklát region (Týřovické skály) and in Český kras (the Bohemian karst).
