Anema notarisii (A. Massal.) Forssell

A thermophilous species usually growing on steep, sun-exposed but periodically watered calcareous or calcium-enriched rocks. Its centre of distribution is Mediterranean, from where it expands norward up to southern Scandinavia. According to some authors, A. notarisii is a smaller form of A. nummularium with short lobes. The genus Anema as a whole is taxonomically problematic, concepts of species differs between authors and a revision based on molecular methods would be very useful. In the Czech Republic the species has been found in the Český kras, NP Podyjí and the protected area of Krumlovsko-Rokytenské slepence.
