This lichen was described as a new species to science from diabases in Prague's Motol. Later, linked to this name (or its synonym Lecanora dominiana) several other localities in Prague and its surroundings were published. Currently, this taxon is considered part of the Aspiciliella intermutans complex, which includes several closely related and indistinguishable lineages. Future studies may confirm the affiliation of to one of them.
