A rare and little-known taxon of shaded, moist limestones. In the Czech Republic, it has been reported only from two localities in the Eastern Sudetenland: first, from a historical collection by F. Kovář in 1909 from Tvarožné díry under the Mount of Králický Sněžník (Kovář 1911) and recently, by A. Guttová and V. Orthová in 2004 from the vicinity of the cave Na Pomezí in the Rychlebské hory Mountains (Halda 2008).
