A sorediate lichen with a yellow-orange lobate thallus, nowadays included in the genus Calogaya. It occurs in natural habitats, on base-enriched silicates and limestones, but is much more common on various anthropogenic substrates (especially on concrete). It often grows on tops of rocks or in anthropogenic habitats with a regular supply of bird excrements. In the Czech Republic, it is a common species, widespread throughout the country.
