Lecanora concolor Ramond

An infrequent saxicolous species of Lecanora with placodiolic thallus, growing on vertical to overhanging acidic rocky walls, typically above the upper timber line, with the nearest relic occurrences in the Alps. From the Czech Republic, the species is mentioned only in the historical data from the walls of the Čertova zahrádka gorge in the Krkonoše Mts, where it was found in sparse populations in a close association with the species Pleopsidium chlorophanum (Stein 1879). The presence of L. concolor at the site was not verified later.
