Placynthiella hyporhoda (Th. Fr.) Coppins & P. James

A terricolous species specialized to substrates rich in heavy metals. It resembles P. uliginosa but differs in apothecia pigmentation; it has a conspicuous red-purple hypothecium reaction with KOH. In the Czech Republic, the lichen has a single locality in the Krušné hory Mts.
