Protoparmeliopsis laatokkaënsis (Räsänen) Moberg & R. Sant.

Probably the least conspicuous of the Protoparmeliopsis species. It appears to be a strict substrate specialist. It grows on serpentinite, slates and other similar rock types. Young thalli are often parasitic on other lichen species. It is a sparsely distributed species with little known distribution area. The lichen is more common in the Mediterranean. It is known from a single locality in the Czech Republic, the serpentinite steppe Mohelno, where it is also very rare. Protoparmeliopsis laatokkaënsis was described as a distinct species Lecanora dvorakii from there, but the name is invalid.
