Inconspicuous, rarely recorded species, known from about ten localities in the Czech Republic. It mainly occurs on anthropogenic sites, usually on small acidic stones, but also in natural habitats, e. g., stones on riverbanks, and even wood. It is found at lower to mid elevations, rarely in the mountains.
