Xanthoria fulva (Hoffm.) Poelt & Petut.

Deep orange Xanthoria, thallus minute foliose, soralia lip-shaped, terminal. Apothecia very rare. Always epiphytic, mainly on bark of old solitary deciduous trees, e. g. sycamore, Norway maple, ash and elm trees. Prefers nutrient-rich localities, often found on trees along roads. In the Czech Republic, scattered mainly in foothill and mountain areas, more common probably only in the Šumava Mts.
