Lecanora cadubriae (A. Massal.) Hedl.

A boreal lichen, in the Czech Republic abundantly recorded only in the Šumava Mts, especially in well-lit coniferous, peat and boggy spruce forests, and mixed old-growth forest reserves. This Lecanora can be found with similar frequency on bark and wood (especially on snags). Our samples belong to two chemotypes. A more common chemotype contains norstictic acid, which reacts positively with standard chemical reagents. A rarer chemotype with virensic acid and negative spot reactions has so far been recorded in our country only in the Krkonoše Mts.
