Lepraria borealis Loht. & Tønsberg

A common lichen from the L. neglecta agg. group, in the field hardly distinguishable from some other genus members. It grows on exposed siliceous rocks and mosses, sometimes passes to acidic soil in their surroundings and rarely even to bases of trees. The species is widespread in Europe and commonly occurs in suitable habitats across the entire Czech Republic, from lowlands to mountains.
